katastro.fi was born from a desire to create free art, catalysed by the new possibilities offered by digital media. katastro.fi brings together different forms of digital art and combines them with more traditional forms of artistic expression like performances, poetry and spatial arts.

in 1998 katastro.fi received the prestigious Young Art in Finland-award for it's ground-breaking artistic activities.
