No worries, it's still coming! The new website is about 90% ready and in internal beta. :) We're hoping to get it online for all of you this fall.

SPLICE MUSIC!
Check out the new community website Splicemusic.com! Splice is an online music making portal where you can upload or record sounds and make your own songs + remix other people's. The Splice production team consists of katastro.fi & TPOLM members Antti Jäderholm, Mikko Karvonen and Jaakko Manninen.

PLAN*B FOR ARKADIANMÄKI is an alternative Parliament House.
It will have its home opposite to the Finnish Parliament House, in Kiasma
Museum of Contemporary Art. The name of the project refers to the location of the Finnish Parliament House - Arkadianmäki ('Arcadia hill') is the Finnish Capitol Hill. More information on the PLAN*B web site!

KATASTRO.FI X-MAS PARTY
Tomorrow on Friday 10 December we have the traditional katastro.fi x-mas party at Club Bundolo, from 7-10 pm! The program features dj Laiha Läski + TWISTED KRISTER + vj *jen. If you arrive early you will have a chance to have a taste of punch and x-mas cookies!

KATASTRO.FI GET-TOGETHER
katastro.fi organises an informal get-together next week... Thursday 4 Nov at 7 pm, Club Bundolo.

There will be an hour or two of presentations, featuring at least

- PixelACHE 2005
- Koneisto + Flow festival VJ-dvd
- Piksel04 workshop
- Get real! exhibition (opens 11 Nov)

... and some more! Let us know if you have a project you would like to present!

Entrance 0€, presentation and discussions will probably be a mix of Finnish and English...

RIGHT NOW we are at the process of upgrading katastro.fi to version 2.0. Stay tuned...

DEMOSCENE BOOK @ SÓNAR
The first book ever about the demoscene culture, entitled "DEMOSCENE: the art of real-time" will be launched at Sónar 2004, the festival of advanced music and multimedia art that takes place in Barcelona on 17.-19.6. The book is closely related to last year's successful demoskene.katastro.fi exhibition that was held in Kiasma. The main author Lassi Tasajärvi (Even Lake Studios / k.fi) + Markus Grannenfelt & Mikko Karvonen from katastro.fi will be hanging around Sónar, selling the book and answering your questions. NEW KATASTRO.FI BOARD
The annual meeting of k.fi took place on Wednesday 17th of March, 2004. The new president is again, after a few years' crusade, Mr. Juha Huuskonen! Check out the new board.
